The storm rages and we can see the the spirits are causing it. |
The spirits continue the storm under the direction of Ariel who is in the service of Prospero. |
Prospero and his daughter, Miranda, discuss the passing storm. |
Prospero instructs Ariel as to the tasks ahead. |
Caliban, serves Prospero reluctantly. He is the son of a witch who once ruled the island. |
Caliban is chastised for his lust for Miranda. |
Miranda meets the shipwrecked Ferdinand and they are smitten with each other. |
Prospero will put the young man to task to make him fight for the love of Miranda. |
The shipwrecked king and his entourage including some that would plan against him. |
Verbal exchanges show there is not love between some of these characters. |
Ariel intervenes to save the king from being murdered in his sleep. |
